Changes are afoot
dxw has come a long way in the last 3 years.
We’ve grown from a team of three to a team of 14, and we’ve taken on some big and exciting projects, including Planning Guidance, Thames Valley Housing Association’s online customer services and corporate website, as well as a major campaign you might have seen and our very own corner of GOV.UK. It’s been a remarkable journey, and I’m very grateful to the team, the clients and the friends who’ve made it possible.
I hope the next three years will see similar growth, allowing us to take on bigger and more influential projects, creating more opportunities to help improve people’s experience of government. We’ll be advertising lots of new jobs over the next couple of weeks, and I plan to blog more about that journey.
Sadly, though, we won’t all be on that journey together. Alex Blandford and Ann Kempster have decided it’s time for them to move on: Alex will be moving to Berlin, and Ann to pastures as yet undiscovered. We’ll miss them both, and we wish them all the best in their new pursuits. Needless to say, they’ve both been very accommodating in giving their notice nice and early, so they’ll be around for a couple of months yet to hand their work over to new colleagues.
In their place, we’ll be making a few changes. We’re now recruiting for two new delivery managers. Rose, our stalwart office manager, is switching roles to become a user researcher, making the best of her experience and qualifications. She’ll be working closely with Lily and the new delivery managers on our user testing and discovery work. In her place, we’ll be recruiting for a new administrator. We’re also on the lookout for a PHP developer to join our WordPress team.
Job ads for all of these, and more, are coming soon. Please do help us spread the word!
