Welcome, Luke
Hi, I’m Luke, dxw’s new Marketing and Communities Intern! I am extremely excited about joining and having the opportunity to learn new things from such gracious and enthusiastic people. I’m hoping to pick up some interesting and unique marketing techniques along the way to building up a community of like minded people.
Having (not so) recently graduated from university, where my interest in campaigning and marketing really took off, I gained some valuable and varied experience which has driven me to help improve the relationship between government and the public. From campaigning and organising, to writing and opinion blogging, I believe I am in the right place at the right time to grow my skills and further develop my passion for engagement and communications.
My life before dxw
Before joining dxw I completed numerous stints of work experience and internships with private and public sector organisations. This involved organising political debates, public affairs work and some email marketing. Butut by far the most enjoyable experience I have gained is writing for the youth centered Think-Tank Talk-Politics. With them I have found a deeper interest in making government and political systems more accessible, easier to understand and ultimately improve the electorate’s relationship with public institutions. Now I’m here, I hope to bring this experience to the dxw team.
Looking forward, I can’t wait to embrace the challenges, work and the culture at dxw and take the next step in my journey.
